Fr. Charles Ndumbi Installation Mass, February 28, 2021
Fr. Charles Ndumbi was officially welcomed to the St. Paul the Apostle family, on February 28, 2021 at the 10 am Mass, as he celebrated his installation mass, officiated by Very Reverend John Restrepo, O.P, V.F., dean of the City Park/Gentilly Area. The Gospel was proclaimed by Fr. Pascal Chester, SVD, pastor of St. Eugene Mission and Student Center in Tallahassee, FL, with a reflection on the Gospel reading given by Fr. Alfred Ayem, SVD, pastor of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jackson, MS. Also, in attendance celebrating with Fr. Charles was Fr. Francis Damoah, SVD, pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Jeanerette, LA; Fr. Michael Labre, pastor of St. James Major Catholic Church in New Orleans, LA; and Fr. Cyriaque Sounou, SVD, Parochial Vicar in St. Martinville, LA (Notre Dame). To help welcome Father Charles to the city and St. Paul's were local and state officials Jason Hughes, State Representative, District 100; Cyndi Nguyen, Councilwoman, District E; Candice Newell, State Representative, District 99; Joseph Bouie, Jr., State Senator, 3rd District; Frederick Bell, Parish Pastoral Council Chairman; and Chelsey Richard Napoleon, Clerk, Civil District Court and Parish Pastoral Council Secretary.
